Mizoram remains India's most malaria affected state

Aizawl, Oct 8 (UNI) Mizoram continues to grapple with the highest malaria burden in India, with four of its districts—Lunglei, Lawngtlai, Mamit, and Siaha—still classified as high endemic areas under Category 3.
These districts are responsible for nearly 80 pc of the state’s malaria cases, underscoring the severity of the challenge the state faces in its fight against the disease.
This was highlighted by the state’s Health and Family Welfare Minister, Lalrinpuii, during the inauguration of the ‘3-Day Regional Review Meeting on Malaria Elimination for GFATM Project States’ on Tuesday.
