Mizoram Minister calls for greater community involvement in combating drug abuse

Aizawl, Oct 11 (UNI) Mizoram Social Welfare & Tribal Affairs Minister Lalrinpuii on Friday called for greater community involvement in combating drug abuse, particularly focusing on the challenges faced by women.
Speaking at an awareness programme on empowering women to tackle substance abuse, held at the I&PR Auditorium, she emphasised the severe impact of drugs on the state, exacerbated by its proximity to the Golden Triangle.
