Mizoram: Lai ADC executive committee formed after two-month deadlock in Lawngtlai

Aizawl, Feb 17 (UNI) Bringing an end to nearly two months of political uncertainty, the executive committee of the Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC) was formally constituted today with the swearing-in of the Deputy Chief Executive Member and nine Executive Members in Lawngtlai.
The oath of office was administered by Lawngtlai Deputy Commissioner Donny Lalruatsanga to Deputy Chief Executive Member Sanghuliana Mualchin and the nine Executive Members at a ceremony held in the district headquarters. The event marks the completion of the new executive set-up following the recently concluded council elections.
Chief Executive Member C. Lalsawmzuala subsequently allocated portfolios to the Deputy CEM and the Executive Members. The budget session of the Lai Autonomous District Council has been summoned to commence from March 27.
