Mizoram Governor hospitalised in Hyderabad with a lung infection

Aizawl, Sep 10 (UNI) Mizoram Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati was admitted to Star Hospitals in Hyderabad on Monday following a five-day battle with fever, according to sources at the Aizawl Raj Bhavan, quoting hospital officials.
Upon admission, Kambhampati underwent a comprehensive evaluation, which revealed a lung infection, according to an update from Star Hospitals. He was immediately transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for close monitoring. The governor is currently being treated with broad-spectrum antibiotics and other necessary medications under the supervision of a multidisciplinary team led by Senior Consultant Physician Dr. Vikram Varma Jampana and Senior Consultant Pulmonologist Dr. Chandana Reddy.
Kambhampati was initially admitted to Trinity Hospital on the outskirts of Aizawl on Saturday due to persistent fever. However, when the fever did not subside, he was referred to Star Hospitals in Hyderabad on Monday, according to Trinity Hospital sources.
