Mizoram distributes property cards under SVAMITVA scheme

Aizawl, Jan 19(UNI) Mizoram Governor Gen. (Retd.) Vijay Kumar Singh virtually attended a property card distribution event under the SVAMITVA scheme from Raj Bhavan on Saturday.
The event, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saw the issuance of over 65 lakh property cards to beneficiaries across 10 states and two union territories, including 1,754 cardholders from 18 villages in Mizoram.
Governor Singh praised Mizoram for being the first northeastern state to implement the SVAMITVA scheme and acknowledged the efforts of the state’s land revenue and settlement department. He urged officials to continue their work in realising the scheme’s goals and congratulated the new cardholders.
