Mizoram Cong condemns Shiv Sena MLA

Aizawl, Sep 18 (UNI) The Mizoram Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) on Wednesday strongly condemned Shiv Sena legislator Sanjay Gaikwad for allegedly offering a reward of Rs 11 lakh to anyone who would chop off Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's tongue.
Gaikwad also made a series of violent and objectionable remarks against Gandhi, sparking outrage.
In a press statement, MPCC president Lal Thanzara said that Rahul Gandhi had recently addressed issues surrounding the reservation system during his visit to the USA, highlighting the lack of representation of marginalised communities in leadership roles. Gandhi had pointed out, "Go through the list of every single business leader in India. Show me a tribal name. Show me a Dalit name. Show me an OBC name. Out of the top 200, I think there is one OBC. They are 50% of India, but we're not treating the symptom."
