Mizoram Commercial Vehicle Union call off indefinite strike following assurance by CM

Aizawl, Oct 11 (UNI) The Mizoram Commercial Vehicle Union (MCVU) has called off its planned indefinite strike, scheduled to begin on October 14, following a request from Chief Minister Lalduhoma.
However, the union has warned that it will proceed with its protest if the state Cabinet, during its meeting scheduled for October 16, fails to deliver a positive outcome.
In a meeting on Thursday, the Chief Minister assured MCVU leaders that an emergency Cabinet meeting would be convened on October 16 to reconsider and potentially revoke the earlier decision to raise fuel prices.
