Missing man found dead in Manipur

Imphal, June 8 (UNI) A 57-year-old man who had gone missing following a recent armed attack on Pongringlong village in Manipur's Kangpokpi district was found dead with bullet wounds on Monday triggering condemnation from local organisations and renewed concerns over security in the area.
According to a statement issued by the Pongringlong Youth Club (PYC), the deceased was identified as Chunjanglung Panmei, a village guard from Pongringlong Part-I, a Rongmei Naga village.
He had reportedly gone missing during an attack and firing incident that took place in the village in recent days.

Meghalaya leads Northeastern, hilly states in NITI Aayog’s regulatory ease rankings

Shillong, July 19 (UNI) Meghalaya achieved the top spot among all the Northeastern and hilly regions in the regulatory ease category of NITI Aayog’s first-ever Investment Friendliness Index (IFI).
According to the report released by NITI Aayog, Meghalaya secured a score of 8.5 out of 10 under the Regulatory Ease pillar.
