Mirza International group faces Income Tax raids across multiple cities

Lucknow, Sep 12 (UNI) One of India's leading leather exporters, Mirza International Group, has come under the scanner of the Income Tax Department. In a coordinated crackdown, the department launched simultaneous raids on over 45 locations linked to the company across Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Uttarakhand, and Kolkata.
According to sources, a large cache of documents, laptops, and mobile phones has been seized during the raids. These materials are expected to provide crucial evidence related to tax evasion and financial irregularities.
In Kanpur, multiple teams of the department remained active for several hours, conducting extensive searches at various premises, including Civil Lines, Parvati Bangla Road, Gwaltoli, Jajmau, and Mall Road. Raids were also carried out at five tanneries and the Euro Footwear factory located in Unnao. Employees were reportedly stopped at the gates and not allowed to enter during the operation.
