Mirwaiz calls for collective introspection, greater social responsibility

Srinagar, Jun 12 (UNI) Kashmir’s chief cleric and Hurriyat chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Friday called for collective introspection and greater social responsibility.
Addressing a congregation at Jamia Masjid Ichgam in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on the last Friday of the Islamic year, Mirwaiz said the occasion called for deep reflection, introspection and self-accountability, both at the individual and collective level.
“As another Islamic year draws to a close, it is important for people to pause and reflect on the passage of time, the blessings and challenges experienced during the year, and their responsibilities towards Allah and society,” he said.
