Minister Vikhe Patil accuses OBC leaders of trying to create conflict between the Maratha and OBC community

Mumbai, Oct 18 (UNI) Senior Minister and Chairman of the committee formed for Maratha reservation, Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, has challenged those claiming that granting reservation to the Maratha community endangers the quota of Other Backward Classes (OBCs), to substantiate their contention with proof.
Protests have been rampant across the state on this issue. Senior Minister and OBC Leader Chhagan Bhujbal has opposed Maratha reservation. In this backdrop, Vikhe Patil’s statement is significant.
Vikhe Patil today accused certain OBC leaders of trying to create conflict between the Maratha and OBC communities by spreading false claims that Maratha reservation threatens OBC quotas. Without naming anyone directly, he challenged OBC leaders to present evidence supporting their claims.
