Minister orders issue of notice to United India Insurance for failing to give crop insurance amount to farmers

Bengaluru, Oct 3 (UNI) Karnataka Minister for Agriculture B S Patil instructed officers concerned to issue notice to United India Insurance for not paying crop insurance money to farmers and not attending the meetings.
Speaking at a review meeting at Vidhana Soudha, he said all other insurance companies have taken part in the meeting and provided details of the crop loans and insurance except the United India Insurance, hence the Minister asked the officials to serve notices to the company.
He also said that insurance companies should relax the conditions while receiving the premium from the farmers and asked the companies to pay the insurance amount timely to the farmers, if any technical problems they should call the farmers and resolve them immediately.
