Milk producing cooperatives to be opened in every village of Bihar : Nitish

Patna, Feb 07 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday announced plans to open milk-producing cooperatives in every village of the state and allocate new Sudha milk outlets to women on a priority basis to promote financial independence.
Kumar said on his social media account X that the move is part of the state government’s Saat Nischay-3 initiative, aimed at boosting development across sectors over the next five years. He added that 25,593 out of 39,073 villages already have dairy cooperatives, and the remaining villages would be covered within the next two years.
The chief minister also said that Sudha milk outlets, currently operating at the block level under the earlier Saat Nischay-2 scheme, would be expanded to the panchayat level. Outlets have already been opened in 100 of the state’s 8,053 panchayats, with the remaining 7,953 scheduled to be operational by the end of the 2026-27 financial year.
