Mild earthquake hits J&K’s Baramulla, tremors felt in several areas

Srinagar, Jan 15 (UNI) A mild earthquake measuring 3.0 on the Richter scale struck Baramulla district of Jammu Kashmir on Thursday evening, triggering tremors in adjoining areas, officials said
According to official data, the tremor occurred at 7:10 pm with its epicentre located 19 km west-northwest of Srinagar.
The earthquake measured shallow in nature with a depth of 5 km, occurring at coordinates 34.13°N latitude and 74.59°E longitude.
