Medical counselling irregularities raised in Jharkhand Assembly

Ranchi, Dec 9 (UNI) The Jharkhand Assembly on Tuesday witnessed a smooth Question Hour, but serious concerns were raised by the Opposition on multiple issues, including alleged irregularities in medical counselling and discrepancies in paddy procurement prices.
As soon as the proceedings began, Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi criticised the state government for fixing the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for paddy at only ₹2,450 per quintal, alleging that the ruling coalition had reneged on its pre-election promise to raise the MSP to ₹3,200.
Despite protests, the MSP was increased by only ₹50, which Marandi termed a betrayal of farmers.
