Mary Kom confirms divorce, denies rumours of affair

New Delhi, Apr 30 (UNI) Renowned boxer and former Rajya Sabha MP MC Mary Kom has formally confirmed her divorce from Onkholer (Onler) Kom, stating that the separation was finalised by mutual consent under the Kom community customary law in December 2023.
In a legal notice issued by her counsel, Supreme Court advocate Rajat Mathur, Mary Kom clarified that the divorce was conducted in the presence of both families and clan leaders, and that both parties have since moved on.
The notice, dated April 30, was issued in response to a report published in a national media, and further coverage by various media platforms that, according to her counsel, engaged in "unwarranted speculation" about her personal life.
