Marine traffic at Strait of Hormuz starts to ease after ceasefire

Tehran, April 8 (UNI) Two vessels transited the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday after Iran reopened the crucial waterway under a ceasefire arrangement, maritime tracking firm MarineTraffic said.
“The Greek-owned bulk carrier NJ Earth crossed the strait at 08:44 UTC, while the Liberia-flagged Daytona Beach passed earlier at 06:59 UTC after departing Bandar Abbas at 05:28 UTC,” the firm said in a post on X.
Tehran and Washington have both agreed to facilitate the movement of shipments through the strait, offering relief to global trade.
