Many tents gutted due to fire in Maha Kumbh

Prayagraj, Feb 17 (UNI) Many tents were gutted in a fire in Sector 8 of the world's largest spiritual and cultural gathering Maha Kumbh on Monday.
Chief Fire Officer (CFO) Pramod Sharma said that as soon as the information about the fire in an empty camp on Bajrangdas Marg in Sector 8 was received, several fire brigade vehicles immediately reached the spot and controlled the fire. He said that the site of the incident was cordoned off from all sides and people were prohibited from coming and going from the area.
He said that the devotees had vacated the camp and left. The immediate cause of the fire could not be ascertained.
