Manoj Bajpayee shares views on power ahead of ‘Governor’ release

Mumbai, June 8 (UNI): Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee has shared his perspective on leadership and power as excitement continues to build around his upcoming film, "Governor", which is inspired by true events depicting a period in Indian history when the country was facing a severe economic crisis.
In the film, Bajpayee plays a determined and decisive governor, tasked with rescuing the country from the economic crisis. His character depicts the difficult decisions and strong leadership that played a crucial role in shaping the country's future. As part of the film's promotional campaign, he shared his thoughts on the true meaning of "power."
According to the 57-year-old actor, true power lies in the ability to hear the truth that most people don't want to hear.
The film's producers shared a special video of Manoj Bajpayee on social media, in which he expresses his concept of strength and leadership. A message accompanying the video states that "Governor" is set to arrive in theatres worldwide on June 12, 2026.
Bankrolled under the banner of Sunshine Pictures, the film is directed by Chinmay Mandlekar and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, with Ashin A. Shah serving as co-producer.
The film's screenplay is co-written by Suvendu Bhattacharya, Saurabh Bharat, Ravi Asrani and Shah. The lyrics are penned by Javed Akhtar, with music composed by Amit Trivedi. UNI NST AKU
