Mann calls PM 'biryani guest in Pakistan', HM a 'tadipaar'; Jakhar hits back: ‘Your fall has begun'

Chandigarh, July 11 (UNI) A political showdown erupted in Punjab after Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah over foreign policy, governance priorities, and recent diplomatic visits. Mann’s remarks—laced with sarcasm and sharp accusations—have drawn fierce criticism from the BJP, further deepening the rift between the Centre and the AAP-led Punjab government.
Reacting strongly, Punjab BJP chief Sunil Jakhar said, “Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann Ji, the language you are using for the honourable Prime Minister and the Home Minister shows that you have lost all sense of decorum. But you, more than anyone else, should know that when a person’s shadow becomes taller than his own height, it means the sun is about to set. And when a man’s words outgrow his stature, his downfall is near.”
Jakhar’s poetic rebuttal came just hours after Mann, during the state Assembly session, questioned the Prime Minister’s frequent foreign visits and the lack of transparency in foreign policy. “Do we not have the right to ask questions? Where is the PM going? What are the outcomes of these trips? These are questions the public deserves answers to,” Mann said.
