Manipur Women Commission probes Jiribam massacre

Imphal, Dec 4 (UNI) A fact-finding team, set up to investigate the brutal murder of three women and three children in the Jiribam district of Manipur, has held wider consultations with various stakeholders and visited several places including relief camps. to understand the problems and grievances of the people.
The three-member panel, comprised the Chairperson and two members of the Manipur State Commission for Women (MSCW).
W. Phajatombi Devi, Member Secretary, MSCW said the team reached Jiribam on November 28. In the district, a meeting, chaired by the DC of Jiribam, was held with the MSCW team and various line departments directly involved in the day-to-day affairs of the relief camps.
