Manipur Security Forces bust drugs, recover stolen vehicles in major opn

Imphal, Jan 22 (UNI) Security Forces (SF) and Manipur Police carried out a series of intensified operations across the State, leading to multiple arrests, seizures of drugs and contraband items, recovery of stolen vehicles, and destruction of poppy cultivation on Wednesday.
Police on Thursday said security forces arrested an active insurgent cadre from his residence at Singjamei Makha Khongnang Pheidekpi under Singjamei Police Station in Imphal West district. A mobile phone was seized from his possession.
On the same day, an active woman cadre of an outlawed group was arrested from her residence at Huikap Makha Leikai under Andro Police Station in Imphal East district. Another active woman cadre was also arrested from her present residence at New Lambulane Lane-III under Porompat Police Station. Mobile phones were seized from the arrested persons.
