Manipur Police recovers arms and ammunition

Imphal, Nov 6 (UNI) Manipur Police recovered arms and ammunition and arrested two persons for releasing fake video.
Police said on November 4 a video went viral in social media showing assault and snatching of 500 chicks at Phubala by individuals dressed in black.
Upon inquiry by Manipur Police, it has been confirmed that the incident is a fake and fabricated story.
During examination, one Iphamayum Ramijuddn from Kwakta, Ward No. 8, admitted to creating the story, while the video was recorded and uploaded by one Heibokmayum Thoiba (ll from Kwakta Ward No 8. Both individuals have been arrested for necessary legal action.
Police further said an operation held at Tengnoupal district since Monday resulted in the recovery of two pistols, three pompi, eight 7.62 mm live rounds, two pistol rounds, nine nos. of IEDs, eight HE pompi grenades, two explosive material cakes, handgrenades, and Walkie Talkie from Samukom area, Tengnoupal District.
On Tuesday, police ensured the movement of 153 vehicles along NH-37 and NH-2.
