Manipur police operations yield arrests, drugs, and vehicle recoveries

Imphal, Jan 19 (UNI) Security forces and Manipur Police conducted multiple operations across the state yesterday, resulting in several arrests, drug seizures, and the recovery of stolen vehicles, officials said today.
In Imphal East district, authorities arrested an extortionist linked to an insurgent outfit from his residence in Yourabung Khunou Ward-IV under Lamlai police station.
In another operation in the district, two active cadres of a proscribed organisation, allegedly involved in recruiting new members, were apprehended in the New Checkon area under Porompat police station. Two mobile phones were recovered from them.
