Manipur Congress submits case to Governor

Imphal, Nov 14 (UNI) Five Congress MLAs reached Guwahati on Wednesday and met Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya to brief him about the escalating violence in Manipur.
A memorandum was submitted on Wednesday night urging the Governor to intervene. Acharya is also Governor Manipur.
Congress MLAs, Okram Ibobi Singh, K. Meghachandra Singh, K. Ranjit Singh, Th. Lokeshwar Singh, and Surjakumar Okram informed him that the recent upsurge in violence has exacerbated the ongoing turmoil, leading to a severe humanitarian crisis in the state.

Kolkata/Dhaka, Dec 1 (UNI) Bangladeshi authorities at the Benapole Land Immigration Check Post have stopped at least 54 "suspicious individuals” from crossing over to India, a media report said on Sunday, even as a senior ISKCON official in Kolkata said that Bangladesh has stopped 63 ISKCON Brahmacharis from crossing into India.
