Manipur: CM Biren pays tributes to King Narasing

Imphal, April 11 (UNI) Chief Minister N Biren Singh said that the observance of 171st death anniversary Maharaja Narasingh is held every year to pay tribute to him and remember his contributions in the war against the Burmese to regain Manipur’s independence during the hard days of "Seven Years of Devastation".
The event was also organized to spread a message of sacrifice and instill the sense of patriotism into the minds of the people of the current generation, he added.
People of the state paid tributes to Maharaja Narasingh on his 171st death anniversary. The main observance was held at the memorial of the late Maharaja located inside Kangla with Chief Minister N Biren Singh as the chief guest.
