Man linked to Golden Temple Sarovar video taken into custody in Ghaziabad

Chandigarh, Jan 24 (UNI) A man accused of performing an objectionable act inside the sacred Sarovar of the Golden Temple in Amritsar was taken into police custody in Ghaziabad today after being confronted by Nihang Sikhs.
The incident follows widespread outrage over a viral video showing the man rinsing his mouth inside the holy water body, an act that drew strong objections from the Sikh community.
According to available information, the man was seen in a video with a Nihang Sikh in Ghaziabad, during which he was allegedly assaulted before being handed over to the local police. Another individual who had recorded the controversial video was also present. Both men were later seen apologising on camera.
