Man kills wife with hammer & knife while she slept; arrested in Bokaro

Bokaro, Nov 9 (UNI) A man allegedly killed his wife while she was asleep in DVC Rehabilitated Colony, Naya Basti, under the Bokaro Thermal Police Station area of the district.
According to police sources, the accused, Rupesh Yadav (35), brutally attacked his wife Jhalo Devi (30) by crushing her head with a hammer and then slitting her throat with a knife on late Saturday night. The horrifying incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. in the presence of their three young children seven-year-old daughter Riddhi Rani, four-year-old son Piyush, and one and a half year old daughter.
Hearing her mother's screams, the eldest daughter woke up and began crying, alerting Rupesh's mother, 65-year-old Nunwa Devi, who rushed to the room. When the door was opened, she found Jhalo Devi lying lifeless in a pool of blood. Villagers immediately caught the accused and handed him over to the police.
