Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko appears before police

Kochi, Apr 19 (UNI) Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko, who was reportedly caught on CCTV fleeing hotel room during a search conducted by the District Anti-Narcotic Special Action Force (DANSAF) under the Kochi City Police, appeared for questioning before the Ernakulam North Police on Saturday.
Earlier, a notice was issued by the police instructing the actor to appear before the Sub Inspector of Ernakulam North at 10 am on Saturday.
The actor also courted controversy after actress Vincy Aloshious named him for suspected drug use and misbehaviour during the shooting of a film recently.
The actor reportedly fled his third-floor room at a Kochi hotel after the anti-narcotic team raided the hotel to bust a drug racket.
The actor was allegedly acquitted in a 2015 drug case due to lack of evidence in connection the seizure of drug and his arrest.
Meanwhile, the actress, who denied any legal action against the actor, has submitted a complaint against him to the Film Chamber and the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) seeking action against the actor.
