Make child labour eradication a social movement: Minister Vivek Venkataswamy

Hyderabad, June 15 (UNI) Telangana Labour and Mines Minister Dr G Vivek Venkataswamy on Monday called for transforming efforts for the eradication of child labour into a mass social movement and urged all sections of society to work towards building a child labour-free Telangana.
Speaking at a programme organised to mark World Day Against Child Labour at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram in Baghlingampally, the Minister said every child belongs in school, not at work, and stressed that protecting childhood and ensuring quality education for all children is a collective responsibility.
Expressing concern over children being forced into labour due to poverty and difficult family circumstances, he appealed to society to identify such children and help bring them back into the education system. Recalling Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's emphasis on education, he noted that many former child labourers had transformed their lives through learning and secured good employment opportunities.

AYUSH is being rejuvenated by spending Rs 414 Cr : AP Minister

Vijayawada, July 15 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav on Wednesday said the government is rejuvenating traditional Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeo (AYUSH) medicine by spending Rs 414 crore and the state is being transformed as hub for the traditional medical treatments.
