Maharashtra teachers yet to be trained for revised syllabus already introduced in schools

Nagpur, June 14 (UNI) Even as schools across Maharashtra have begun teaching the revised curriculum for Classes I to IV from the 2025–26 academic session, a large number of teachers are yet to undergo training for the new syllabus, triggering concerns over effective classroom implementation.
The updated curriculum, initially introduced for Class I, has now been expanded to include Classes II, III and IV this academic year. However, many teachers responsible for teaching the revised content have not yet received the required orientation.
Acknowledging the delay, the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) has issued a revised schedule, making it mandatory for all training programmes to be completed by July 10.

Mumbai: Body of 30-yr-old man found in Malad police suspect vehicular hit

Mumbai, July 13 (UNI) A 30-year-old man was found dead under the Times of India Bridge in the Malad area of city subarb with Dindoshi Police launching a probe into suspected hit-and-run.
According to Dindoshi Police, the deceased has been identified as Suresh Salunkhe. His body was discovered around midnight on Monday near the bridge in the eastern part of Malad.
