Mahajan reviews preparations for Simhastha Kumbh Mela in Nashik, asks officials to ensure quality facilities

Nashik, March 11 (UNI) Maharashtra Minister for Water Resources (Vidarbha, Tapi, Konkan Irrigation Development Corporation), Disaster Management and Kumbh Mela, Girish Mahajan, reviewed the various development works underway in the backdrop of the Simhastha Kumbh Mela 2027 to be held in Nashik-Trimbakeshwar. He gave clear instructions on this occasion that since crores of devotees will come to Nashik and Trimbakeshwar, all the facilities should be well planned, of high quality and completed on time.
Kumbh Mela Authority Commissioner Shekhar Singh was present in person at the meeting, while Nashik District Collector Ayush Prasad, Nashik Municipal Commissioner Manisha Khatri, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Omkar Pawar, Deputy Director of Land Records, Niphad, and Nashik Sub-Divisional Magistrate, senior officers of BSNL and officers of various departments were present online.
Mahajan said that Simhastha Kumbh Mela is not just a religious festival but a grand symbol of India's spiritual tradition. It is the responsibility of the government to provide the best facilities to crores of devotees coming from all over the country and the world. Therefore, all departments should coordinate and complete the works on priority. On this occasion, Minister Mahajan took a detailed review of works such as Nashik Circular Road, Trimbak DP Road, Trimbak Darshan Path, Dwarka Circle area development, facilities related to Ozar Airport, Ghotiwale Road, Employee Colony, ghat construction, as well as land acquisition and land surveying for various projects.
