Maha: Two killed, 7 injured after fire in Mumbai high-rise building

Mumbai, Feb 16 (UNI) Two women were killed and seven other people, including five women, were injured after a fire broke out in an electrical metre box of a high-rise building in Masjid Bundar area of south Mumbai in early hours of Sunday.
According to sources in Fire Brigade, the fire broke out at 6.11 am at Issaji Street 41/43, Pann Ali Mansion, Vadgadi, near Ram Mandir, Masjid Bundar, which was confined to electrical wiring, electric installations in a common metre box and electrical wiring in the common passage on ground floor of ground-plus-11-storey high-rise building, sending smoke through the building.
It was learnt and noticed that two females who were in the common passage of first floor sustained injury to their hands and legs and also suffocated due to smoke.
