Maha tourists cancel Kashmir plans after Pahalgam terror attack

Mumbai, Apr 23 (UNI) The travel agents and tour operators in Maharashtra have started receiving cancellations for Kashmir bookings following the recent terror attack in Kashmir’s Pahalgam.
Sameer Karnani, a travel agent and also an executive member of Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), said on Wednesday, “There is a lot of anger and frustration among the passengers. We have received too many calls in less than 24 hours of the attack from passengers rethinking and reconsidering their plans. There is also a rise in cancellations from inbound travellers.”
He also said that this will divert 90 percent of potential tourists shift to other destinations. The fear among people is also expected to affect Amarnath Yatra, which will start in July.

Maha: BMC clarifies that death of 2 patients in Mumbai govt hospital not due to Covid-19

Mumbai, May 19 (UNI) The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Monday clarified that the death of two female patients at the state government-run King Edward Memorial (KEM) Hospital in Parel were due to co-morbidities and not due to COVID-19, even as it advised citizens not to panic and take all precautions.
