Maha: Ten lakh compensation for kin of farmer killed by tiger

Beed, Oct 18 (UNI) The family of a young farmer who died in a tiger attack has received financial assistance from the state government. Rajendra Vishwanath Golhar, a 39-year-old farmer from Bavi in Ashti taluka, lost his life in a tiger attack, following which forest department officials immediately launched a search operation.
Upon receiving information about the incident, Divisional Forest Officer Garkal and Forest Inspector Munde, with the help of local villagers, conducted an extensive search and recovered the body at midnight. Following the tragic incident, MLA Suresh Dhas immediately contacted concerned officials of the Forest Department and district administration to secure aid for the bereaved family.
When the process encountered hurdles due to lack of funds, the Forest Divisional Officer and Inspector discussed the matter with Forest Minister Ganesh Naik, who approved urgent financial assistance for the family. An immediate relief amount of ten lakh rupees was handed over to Kaushalya Garje, widow of the late Rajendra Golhar, while an additional amount of fifteen lakh rupees will be deposited in her account as a five-year fixed deposit within two days.
