Maha: Speeding truck overturns in Nashik, mother & 2 children crushed to death under bricks

Nashik, Jan 14 (UNI) In a tragic road accident, a truck carrying cement bricks overturned on the Chandwad-Manmad road in Nashik today, resulting in death of a woman and her two children on the spot.
According to the information received, a truck carrying cement blocks (bricks) was coming from Manmad towards Chandwad. The truck overturned on the road this morning. The accident was so severe that a woman and her two young children lost their lives.
The police immediately launched a rescue operation and admitted the injured to the sub-district hospital in Chandwad for treatment. The police cleared the overturned truck and the cement blocks from the road, restoring normal traffic flow.

BMC targets major tax defaulters owing ₹1,500 crore, Seizure notices served to 48 entities

Mumbai, Feb 14 (UNI) The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has intensified its action against large property tax defaulters, issuing seizure notices to 48 major entities within a week over outstanding dues amounting to Rs 1,500 crore. On Saturday, the civic body released a fresh list naming the 20 biggest defaulters, which include prominent real estate developers, mills and other establishments that have collectively failed to clear substantial arrears.
