Maha: Salary of contract workers in Mahanirmiti, Mahapareshan & Mahadistribution hiked by 19 per cent

Mumbai, Sep 9 (UNI) Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, on Monday announced a 19 per cent hike in the basic salary of contract workers working in Maha Distribution, Maha Pareshan and Maha Nirmiti companies in various parts of the state.
In this regard, a meeting was held at Sahyadri guest house here with unions of contractual workers under the chairmanship of Fadnavis.
Fadnavis said that after the hike in basic salary of the contract workers, now the salary of contractual workers in the Power department in the state is higher than their compatriots in other states.
