Maha: Prime accused in New India Bank scam arrested, remanded to PC till Feb 21

Mumbai, Feb 17 (UNI) Dharmesh Paun, a city-based developer, who is a prime accused in New India
Cooperative Bank scam worth Rs 122 crore was arrested by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the city police and was on Monday remanded by a local court to police custody till February 21.
Paun is accused of allegedly assisting Hitesh Mehta, former general manager and head of accounts of the Bank.

Bhiwandi, March 14 (UNI) Authorities in Maharashtra have stepped up action against illegal hoarding and black marketing of LPG cylinders amid concerns that fuel supplies could tighten because of rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. As part of this intensified drive, the rationing department carried out a major operation in Bhiwandi where officials seized 84 LPG cylinders allegedly stored for illegal sale and began legal proceedings against those linked to the suspected network.

Maha: Green steel, coal gasification projects worth Rs 17,000 Cr to be set up in Chandrapur
