Maha: Police question several for breaking sealed store of Torres Jewellery

Mumbai, Mar 16 (UNI) The city police questioned several persons in connection of broken seal of a fraud-ridden jewellery brand Torres showroom in Gamdevi area of south Mumbai, sources said on Sunday.
It may be recalled that one of the four Mumbai stores of jewellery brand Torres, which was sealed by Mumbai Police after an alleged ponzi scam of the company worth at least Rs 130 crore surfaced early this year, was found broken in south Mumbai on March 14.
An FIR (first information report) was registered by the Gamdevi police in this connection against an unknown person, who gained illegal entry at the property which was sealed by the Mumbai police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW), which is currently investigating the ponzi scam wherein nearly 13,000 investors have been duped.

14 teachers suspended in Beed for not submitting UDID certificates

Beed, Dec 6 (UNI) The Beed Zilla Parishad Education Department has suspended 14 teachers for failing to submit their UDID (Unique Disability ID) cards despite repeated orders.
The teachers were instructed to present valid certificates as part of an ongoing verification drive. Even after receiving multiple reminders and notices, these teachers did not comply with the directive, leading the department to initiate disciplinary action.

Mahaparinirvan Diwas 2025: Maharashtra leaders pay tributes to Dr B R Amberdkar on 69th death annivarsary

Mumbai, Dec 6 (UNI) Maharashtra’s senior political leadership visited Chaitya Bhoomi in Dadar on Saturday to pay homage to Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on the 69th Mahaparinirvan Diwas. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, and Governor Ramesh Bais offered floral tributes at the memorial. Opposition leaders also participated, with NCP founder Sharad Pawar and former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray visiting the site to honor the architect of the Indian Constitution.
