Maha: NCP holds silent protest to condemn Pahalgam terror attack

Mumbai, Apr 24 (UNI) The NCP (AP), a constituent of ruling Mahayuti, on Thursday staged a silent protest by wearing black armbands in front of the Mahatma Gandhi's statue to condemn dastardly terrorist attack that took place in Pahalgam of Jammu and Kashmir recently.
The protest was led by state party president and MP Sunil Tatkare.
Also present on the occasion were Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Anna Bansode, Ministers Hasan Mushrif, Narhari Zirwal, Makarand Patil, Indranil Naik, Aditi Tatkare, Women’s wing state president Rupali Chakankar, former minister Anil Bhaidas Patil, MLAs Sunil Shelke, Shivajirao Garje, Idris Nayakvadi, Pankaj Bhujbal, chief spokesperson Anand Paranjpe, Youth wing state president Suraj Chavan, state spokesperson Sanjay Tatkare and many other party office-bearers and workers.

Mumbai, May 14 (UNI) In a major crackdown on corruption within the police force, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Mumbai arrested Senior Police Inspector Bapurao Madhukar Deshmukh, 57, who is heading the Mumbai suburb Shivaji Nagar Police Station, while allegedly accepting Rs 1 lakh of the total bribe of Rs 2.5 lakh that he had allegedly demanded from a school’s trustee in lieu of providing police services for helping him in a legal matter official said here on Wednesday.
