Maha: NCP-AP chief spokesperson asks Sharad Pawar to clarify his stand on Maratha reservation issue

Mumbai, Aug 12 (UNI) NCP-AP chief spokesperson Umesh Patil on Monday demanded that rival NCP-SP president Sharad Pawar should clarify his stand on Maratha reservation issue.
Talking to media here, he asked Sharad Pawar whether he would advise Maratha reservation activists Manoj Jarange-Patil and Ramesh Kere-Patil to stop their agitations against the BJP-led state government as the issue of Maratha reservation is under the ambit of the central government.
He further questioned why the Maratha agitation is being conducted in Maharashtra when the power to raise the quota limit for Marathas is with the central government and wondered whether Sharad Pawar has formed an opinion that it is not a matter under the jurisdiction of the Maharashtra government.
