Maha: MPCC chief debunks PM's claim

Mumbai, Jul 13 (UNI) Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee president Nana Patole on Saturday tried to debunk Prime Minister Narendra Modi's claim of making Mumbai a global financial centre, arguing that it seems to be false and is a throwaway before upcoming assembly elections in the state.
"While inaugurating projects worth Rs 29,000 crore in Mumbai, PM Modi said that he had a dream of making Mumbai a global financial centre, it is not convincing," he observed.
In last 10 years, the BJP government has gentrified Mumbai and Maharashtra in all aspects, he charged while pointing to shifting of offices of many important companies, including the Global Financial Centre in Mumbai, to Gujarat and other BJP-ruled states.
