Maha: Moderate rain likely in Mumbai as monsoon activity picks up after dry spell

Mumbai, Jul 18 (UNI) The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rainfall across Mumbai and its adjoining suburbs over the weekend, signalling the return of monsoon activity after nearly a week of subdued showers.
Authorities have not issued any major weather warning, with the city currently under a green alert.
The city witnessed light rain today morning following several days of only intermittent drizzle. According to data from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the eastern suburbs received the highest rainfall between Friday and Saturday morning, recording an average of 15.27 mm. The western suburbs recorded 7.31 mm, while the island city received 1.67 mm during the same period.
