Maha: Minister Patil launches ‘Ek Poli Holi’ initiative on Holi festival

Pune, Mar 14 (UNI) On occasion of Holi celebration, Maharashtra Higher Education Minister Chandrakant Patil on Friday undertook a social commitment initiative, called ‘Ek Poli Holi’, and made an appeal to every family in city to donate one Puran poli for poor students.
Under this, 20,000 Puran polis were collected and given to poor students.

Amravati doctors remove 2-Kg head and neck tumour in complex surgery

Amravati, Nov 8(UNI): A team of specialists at the Super Specialty Hospital in Maharashtra's Amravati has successfully removed a rare two-kilogram tumour from the throat of a 53-year-old patient suffering from head and neck cancer.
