Maha: Minister Patil dismisses possibility of unity between 2 factions of NCP

Sangli, May 14 (UNI) Maharashtra Education Minister Chandrakant Patil on Wednesday ruled out the possibility of a merger between two factions of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), one led by Sharad Pawar and another by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.
Talking to reporters here, he said that though NCP-SP chief Sharad Pawar has left that decision to young leaders like his daughter MP Supriya Sule and nephew Ajit Pawar, there was not any firm discussion on unity between two parties.
Patil claimed that before the split in NCP, the party was controlled by Pawar and Supriya Sule and other senior leaders like Jayant Patil were not part of decision making but after split, Ajit Pawar-controlled party, performed best in the state assembly elections by winning 41 assembly seats, he added.
