Maha: HC allows MCA to hold T20 Mumbai League without Shivaji Park Lions

Mumbai, May 13 (UNI) The Bombay High Court has allowed the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) to go ahead with the T20 Mumbai League without the Shivaji Park Lions team, whose contract was terminated in 2020 due to alleged payment defaults, a lawyer said here on Tuesday.
The T20 Mumbai League was launched in February 2018 to promote local cricket talent across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Thane.
Jupicos Entertainment Pvt Ltd, which owned Shivaji Park Lions, participated in two editions until 2019.

Mumbai, June 18 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday opposed the pleas filed by city-based firm Jai Corporation and its director and promoter Anand Jaikumar Jain before the Bombay High Court challenging the FIR (first information report) registered by the central agency alleging serious financial irregularities by the company and its promoters.
