Maha govt makes available Rs 20 Cr for assistance to heirs of farmers who committed suicide: Jadhav-Patil

Mumbai, May 24 (UNI) The Maharashtra government has made available a fund of Rs 20 crore to all divisional commissioners to ensure timely assistance to the heirs of deceased farmers who had committed suicide, informed Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Makarand Jadhav-Patil on Saturday.
The government decision in this regard has been issued recently, he informed.
Jadhav-Patil further said that assistance will be provided to the heirs of farmers who had committed suicide due to three reasons in the state: crop failure, indebtedness and difficulty in repaying loans.
