Maha govt introduces new scholarship scheme for Classes IV and VII

Mumbai, Oct 18 (UNI) The Maharashtra government has announced a major reform in its scholarship structure, announcing that from the academic year 2025-26, scholarship exams will be conducted for students of classes IV and VII as well apart from the existing exams for classes V and VIII students
According to the newly approved exam framework, during the 2025–26 academic session, the existing exams for Classes V and VIII will continue and will be held on the second or third Sunday of February 2026.
However, the newly introduced exams for Classes IV and VII will be conducted on a Sunday in April or May 2026. From the academic year 2026-27 onwards, the exams will be permanently held for Classes IV and VII.
