Maha Govt hails success of orphan quota as 862 beneficiaries get jobs

Mumbai, Dec 5 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today said that young people who progress through struggle can serve as role models for society and inspire others with their achievements.
Describing the one percent reservation for orphans as one of the most satisfying decisions of his life, he said the policy has helped transform lives.
Fadnavis noted that the state government implemented the orphan-reservation quota based on the principle of “equal opportunities” articulated by Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. He said that 862 youth have become self-sufficient through government employment under this provision, calling it one of the most significant milestones of the government’s first year in office.
