Maha: Gadkari violated model code of conduct: Congress chief spokesperson

Mumbai, Apr 16 (UNI) Maharashtra Congress chief spokesperson Atul Londhe on Tuesday demanded that candidature of BJP's Nitin Gadkari should be cancelled for allegedly violating the code of conduct by using posters of Lord Sri Ram to influence voters.
In a letter addressed to State chief electoral officer, he alleged that BJP is continuously violating the code of conduct by flouting all laws.
The Congress leader charged that Gadkari, BJP's candidate from Nagpur Lok Sabha constituency, has tried to influence voters by using religion as the basis of his campaign.
